I Can Do It!
I caved! I went to Wal-Mart yesterday. There they were; the calla lilies. There were the classic white ones. I thought I would still be able to walk away, until I went to the other side and there she was…
My favorite flower in my favorite color. Though they say it's a pink. I definitely see purple in it. I saw a few but I found this one, it had a few bulbs. As I was standing in line a lady came up to me and looked at the flower. She said it would be a beautiful bloom. I said I thought so too. She asked what kind of flower it was and was surprised when I said a calla lily. She said she didn't know they came in more than one color. I shook my head with pride. As I walked out to the car holding my plant, I vowed one thing. I would love this plant for as long as I could.
Poor thing would probably be furious, wondering why the people in the store would let her could home with such a green thumb challenged person. And we did have a rocky start. It tipped over in the car when I took a turn, and I believe I gave it too much water this morning. But it's all good.
When I got home, I showed Alex the plant. Of course, the first thing he asked was, "Is this one going to survive?" The heckling. Of course, followed by the encouragement.
This morning I got up and got some fabric and wrapped it around the flower. Chloe and I decided to name it. Lily. Not very original I know…
I've got the window open for it although it's raining on and off. I love the rain!
So my writing is slowly picking back up. Slower than I'd like I'll have to admit. But that is partly my fault, I suppose. I had such a momentum going, and then it came to a screeching halt.
I'm wondering how is it that just about anyone can get a reality show. I think we can get a reality show! We much funnier than some of the nuts on tv. LoL…
Well that's it for now…I'm tired. I'm going to end for now! Later….
