The Many Levels of Me...
I know I know I was suppose to have this up, what? Yesterday? Procrastination, one of my fatal flaws. SMH.
I was thinking a few days ago about how rude people make me angry. I'm sure rude people make almost everyone angry. But my attitude changes. This is what my friend Roro, likes to refer as "Tae Tae" coming out. Which got me to thinking of the different reactions of myself that come out in different situations.
If I had to break myself down into levels or phases or faces or whatever, I'd say there where four: Shante, Tae, Tae Tae, and Mama Tae.
First there's Shante, every day run of the mill regular me. Good and funny, cool to hang out with.
Then there's Tae, sweet Tae. Tae is the kind hearted always there for you! Tae is the sensitive one.
And then there's Tae Tae. If I were on a theater stage doing a one woman show, this is where the lights would go dark and the cyc would turn blood red. And haunting music would slowly fade in.
Tae Tae started off making rare appearance. They started out just showing up during pregnancies. But patience is a rare commodity these days and Tae Tae seems to emerge more and more. She is tough, and doesn't take mess from nobody. She's the one you don't want to mess.
Mama Tae, well, that's the nurturing mother of course, but of course mama Tae don't play either. Perhaps, my grandchildren in the far future will call me that. LoL...
I know this blog seems a little random. But we all are like that aren't we. Different personalities for different situations.
Do you know what you're like in different situations?
