Blogging from the Wii!!
Good Morning!
Well like the title says-I'm blogging sitting here the couch through the Wii. It is awesome!!!
Last night I was sitting around and saw the Wii was glowing, which, if I'm not mistaken, means that we have a message in the inbox. So I went and checked and it said the internet on the Wii is now free! So of course, I immediately downloaded it!
Not much is going on around here. Just getting ready for Christmas which is a week away. We haven't done too much. Just got the kids a few things. Not too much this year. But how often we forget that Christmas really isn't about buying the lastest toys or whatever. How we must try to remember the true meaning of Christmas and teach it to our children and be thankful for the gift that was given to the world on that day right? I think so.
I already got my Christmas gift that I asked for. My laptop is fixed yay! My laptop is fixed and I'm blogging from the Wii! Crazy I know! But the plus from blogging on the Wii is that I can't accidently hit the back button and completely lose my blog. Which I have frustratingly done on more than one occasion...Alex laughs and says yeah right everytime I say that's all I wanted for Christmas. But I think he really knows that I'm serious. As long as the kids have a good Christmas that's all that matters. And I don't even think the gifts matter that much...it's the things we do that make lasting memories that are what make these days good for them. I was so upset when we missed the Christmas parade. I was even crying! I didn't expect to get so emotional, but it's one of our traditions and I guess the fact that we were not able to see it had me upset. But I got over it!
All my photos and writing was on this laptop. I'd be terribly upset if I were unable to get all of those pictures back. Which I suppose brings me to the PSA of the day...well, PSA #2...
PSA #1 would have to be don't get caught up in all the hype this time of year brings with the commercialism of it all. Be sure to remember the true meaning of Christmas. Do things with your family, that's all that really matters. And PSA #2...ALWAYS BACK UP YOUR FILES!!! Computers can be as shifty as the wind, and anything can happen to them. You don't want all of your prized pictures or anything on there and you have no way of getting to it if something suddenly happens to your computer. I was sick just thinking about losing all of that stuff.
Which brings me to how it got repaired. My wonderful husband...and that evil store Fry's...
It wasn't always that way. It used to be THE store for electronics! But not anymore...It would have been over $300 dollars for them to look at, diagnose, purchase the piece and have them fix.
All for a thirty minute fix...and a $12.55 piece...that is right people...twelve dollars and fifty five cents! ARE THEY NUTS! I think so!
PSA #3 Shop at Best Buy. Why?
1) They have awesome prices.
2) They have a free rewards card.
3) When you spend so much on the points add up on that card and you get gift certificates that work same as cash.
4) After spending so much, you will get upgraded to Silver Premiere status
5) Once upgraded you get more discounts and..
6) You can return any item up to 45 days after purchasing it.
Yesterday I had a really rough day. Some days I get really down. But I was able to get through it with my family and friends there for me.
I've got all the stockings hung up. I will take a picture of the whole little scene and post it up here!
Well, little Alex is stirring I think he will be awake in a minute. I know I would be with the way this dog is snoring!
Take care all and happy holidays!
