Thought He Was on the Way.....

So, I know I'm late, but a lot has been going on. I will TRY to make it a brief blog, because I'm doing a little bit of cleaning, not much I promise.

So, Friday evening I started feeling, what I thought may have been contractions, they kept coming so we decided to go ahead and head to the labor and delivery triage so I could get checked out.

When I first got there, not much happened, but then the contractions started coming! The nurse said I was 2 cm dilated and 60% effaced and she would come and check me in an hour. There was no change after the hour, so she called the doctor on call who sent me home and told me to double up on the medicine I was taking until my next appointment (which is tomorrow) when they would more than likely completely take me off the medicine.

Of course, that means the contractions would return (rebound contractions is what I think she called them). I asked her since I was already having contractions, once they take me off of it were the chance of me going into active labor quite soon possible and she said yes, even guessing within the week.

So, that being said, we are doing our best to prepare for the little guy. I'm still taking the medicine, but I'm still having a few contractions here and there. They are pretty erratic and not as intense as they were in the hospital. The nurse said if my water breaks or if my contractions start up at 3-5 minutes apart to get to the hospital.

So I went to Walgreens this morning to pick up my refill and a few things to clean with.

Well, I promised to keep this as short as possible so I'm going to head out for now...perhaps the next time I blog I will be able to post some baby pics!
